About This Blog
I first started building websites back in 2000, on platforms like 263.net and 163.com — that was when I caught the bug for writing online. Later, I ran a few blogs on WordPress, but they all vanished into the void because I forgot to renew the hosting. A classic tale.
In January 2025, the urge to write came back. I wanted a place to put down thoughts on life, books, technology, and whatever else crosses my mind. This time, I went with GitHub Pages — no hosting fees to forget, no databases to maintain. Just code and words.
About Me
I’m a software engineer based in Beijing, working at Alibaba Cloud on security products. I’ve been writing code for over two decades — mostly Java, Python, and Go. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, thinking about where technology is heading, and spending time with my two British Shorthair cats.
